Seth Gilliam is an American actor best known for his portrayals of Ellis Carver on The Wire, Clayton Hughes on Oz, Dr. Alan Deaton on Teen Wolf, and Father Gabriel Stokes on The Walking Dead.

Seth has been on a number of television shows, including The Cosby Show, Law & Order, CSI: Miami, The Good Wife, Homeland, Nurse Jackie, Criminal Minds, and Elementary. He was also in the films Starship Troopers, Courage Under Fire, Tar, Punks, Did You Hear About the Morgans?, Still Alice, and Police State. He is also a stage actor and was the lead in Commonwealth Shakespeare Companies’ production of Othello at the Houston Shakespeare Festival.
He is currently on The Walking Dead and will be in The Code, a new television series due out in 2019.
